New Drury Hotel in Richardson

Richardson CityLine development will have a new high-rise hotel to be built by the Drury Southwest developer. The company has acquired a 3 acre lot just west of the State Farm Insurance campus.

Nordstrom Rack is Coming to Frisco

Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc announced it plans to open a Nordstrom Rack in Frisco at the Cent in fall of 2017. The Centre at Preston Ridge is located at the corner of Gaylord Parkway and Preston Road

Plano Chamber of Commerce New Location

The Plano Chamber will move as of August 1st to a new location 6400 Independence Pkway, in Plano. The location will have a business center for members to use, including 2 private offices that can be used by members.

New CityLine Office Building in Richardson

A joint venture between Transwestern Development and Dallas-based Malouf Interests plans to kick off the construction Tuesday on a new five-story speculative office building at Richardson’s $1.5 billion CityLine mixed-use development.

The office building — called 3400 @ CityLine — will sit at 3400 N. Central Expressway in Richardson with high-end finishes and proximity to CityLine’s restaurants and other amenities. Read full article in Dallas Business Journal

New Residential Community in Celina

Ross Perot Jr.’s Hillwood Communities is teaming up with Dallas-based real estate development firm Wynne/Jackson to develop a 350-home residential community in Celina.

Hillwood and Wynne/Jackson plan to break ground in September on a community called Glen Crossing for homes prices between $350,000 and $425,000. Horizon Homes and Perry Home will build in the project.

Trinity Falls in McKinney – New Investor

Johnson Development Corp. and Tricon Capital have acquired undeveloped portions of the $1.3 billion, 1,700-acre Trinity Falls development in Collin County near U.S. Highway 75.

Trinity Falls is planned for 4,000 new homes as well as retail and commercial. Since the community opened in 2014, about 300 homes have been built and 700 home-sites have been acquired by builders.

Trinity Falls has single-family homes starting in the mid $200,000s built by Ashton Woods Homes, Beazer Homes, Emerald Homes, Gehan Homes, Highland Homes, Meritage Homes and Plantation Homes.

The community includes a resort-style clubhouse, beach entry pool, neighborhood parks more than three miles of Trinity River frontage and over 450 acres of open space.
